On the eve of the general election, Miami-Dade Republican leaders gathered in Hialeah to make a final push on the campaign trail and convince voters. Voter Participation and Expectations
Mayor Esteban Bovo highlighted the high enthusiasm among Republican voters. However, he warned against complacency, noting that independent voters will be crucial.
“Despite the enthusiasm, nothing is won yet,” Bovo cautioned. He urged voters to get to the polls until the last minute of Election Day.
Early Voting Statistics
According to the Florida Division of Elections, more than 5.3 million people have voted early. Republicans lead with 2.5 million early votes, followed by 1.5 million Democrats and 1.1 million independents.
In Miami-Dade, Republicans also lead in early voting with 244,423 votes. Democrats have cast 175,903 votes, and independents 165,192.
Importance of Mail-In Voting
In mail-in voting, Democrats hold a statewide advantage with 1.18 million votes. Republicans have sent in 989,822 mail-in votes, and independents 600,541.
In Miami-Dade, mail-in voting favors Democrats with 115,262 votes, followed by Republicans with 79,649 and independents with 72,473.
Every Vote Counts
Republican leaders emphasized that, despite the favorable numbers, victory is not assured. They made a final call to all voters, especially undecided and independent voters, to exercise their right to vote.
“If we want a conservative, responsible, and transparent agenda, we must act,” concluded Bovo. The final message was clear: every vote is crucial in determining the political future of Florida and the nation.
