Bill Clinton was hospitalized by a fever

Date:

Former president Bill Clinton was hospitalized this monday after developing a fever. He is in MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

According to a statement, he get into the hospital in the “afternoon for testing and observation”. He is currently in stable condition.

“He remains in good spirits and deeply appreciates the excellent care he is receiving,” said Angel Urena, Clinton’s deputy chief of staff.

Before Bill Clinton was hospitalized, the former president was at his home in Washington. He is expected to remain at least overnight in the hospital.

Clinton served two terms as president of the U.S., from January 1993 until January 2001. In the years since he left the White House, he’s faced some health scares.

In 2004, he underwent quadruple bypass surgery after experiencing prolonged chest pains and shortness of breath.

He returned to the hospital for surgery for a partially collapsed lung in 2005, and in 2010 he had a pair of stents implanted in a coronary artery.

Clinton responded by embracing a largely vegan diet that saw him lose weight and report improved health.
