Miami International Airport (MIA) is set to begin a new chapter in its history. With passenger growth projected to surpass 55 million in 2024, not only will the airport reach a historic record, but it will also launch infrastructure projects that will transform its operations and enhance the traveler experience.
According to The Next Miami, 2024 will mark the third consecutive year of growth for the airport. In 2022, MIA surpassed 50 million annual passengers for the first time, and since then, traffic has shown a consistent upward trend.
Why Is Miami International Airport So Successful?
According to Florida of Tomorrow, one key factor contributing to MIA’s success is its geographic location, which enables connections to markets in Latin America, Europe, and other regions of the world. This strategic position makes MIA an essential hub for international passengers and a driver of local economic development.
