From 22 to 26 January, the International Tourism Trade Fair (FITUR), organised by IFEMA MADRID, will once again become the epicentre of global tourism. In its 45th edition, FITUR will highlight the industry’s achievements in 2024 and promising projections for 2025. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, FITUR reaffirms its role as a transformational driver of the sector.
This year, FITUR expects to bring together 9,500 companies from 156 countries, with 884 exhibitors in nine pavilions. With the support of public and private agents, the fair is expected to attract more than 150,000 professionals during the week and around 100,000 visitors over the weekend, generating an estimated economic impact of 445 million euros for Madrid.
International Growth and New Incorporations
International participation at FITUR continues to grow, with 101 countries officially represented, including eleven nations making their debut at this edition, mainly from Africa and Asia. The Travel Technology section, which highlights the latest innovations in tourism reservation management, has grown by 6%, attracting more than one hundred companies from all over the world.
This year, Brazil will be FITUR’s Partner Country, showcasing its rich tourism offering and consolidating its position as a global destination. In 2024, Brazil registered a record in international tourism, with a 12.6% increase in foreign visitor arrivals.

Sustainability and Diversity at the Centre of the Agenda
FITUR 2025 reinforces its commitment to sustainability and diversity through its ten thematic sections. From FITUR Cruises, which highlights sustainable practices in the cruise sector, to FITUR LGTB+ and FITUR Woman, which promote inclusion and female leadership, each section addresses crucial aspects of contemporary tourism.
The FITURNEXT Observatory will focus on how tourism can contribute to sustainable food management, in line with the sector’s responsibility goals.
