Donald Trump hasn’t invited Claudia Sheinbaum to inauguration

Date:

President-elect Donald Trump will have his inauguration on January 20, a ceremony where Claudia Sheinbaum will not be present due to the lack of a direct official invitation to her.

The head of the Executive had previously stated that the invitation was not sent to the Presidency, but to the Mexican embassy in the United States, meaning she was not directly summoned.

A few days before the presidential inauguration of the businessman, who will hold the office for a second term, the national press once again asked the head of the Executive about this solemn event.

Donald Trump did not invite Claudia Sheinbaum

With a “no worries,” this was the phrase the public used regarding Sheinbaum’s absence at the American’s inauguration.

The President of Mexico stated that she was not invited to the businessman’s inauguration ceremony, but an invitation was sent to the Mexican embassy in the United States, so our country will have a representative at the event.

“No, but no worries, no worries, the Ambassador of Mexico in the United States (Esteban Moctezuma) will be there, there’s no problem,” she responded before leaving the Treasury Hall at Palacio Nacional.

Donald Trump’s Inauguration

The businessman will be the second U.S. president in history to serve non-consecutive terms. The first was Grover Cleveland, in 1892.

Donald Trump’s arrival to the presidency of the United States is marked by his becoming the first convicted president in a criminal trial in U.S. history for the crime of falsifying business records to silence a relationship with former actress Stormy Daniels.

Additionally, during his presidential campaign, he was the victim of an assassination attempt at a meeting with his supporters, where he only sustained an injury to his ear.

Although Claudia Sheinbaum will not be attending Donald Trump’s inauguration, Presidents Javier Milei of Argentina and Nayib Bukele of El Salvador will be present, as well as Giorgia Meloni and Viktor Orban, the Prime Ministers of Italy and Hungary, respectively.
